Valentine Staycation at Grand Copthorn Waterfront

It was my 2nd staycation for Valentine Day!

Last year was Siloso Beach while this year, bii booked a room at Grand Copthorn!

But! Before we checked in, my love had to fill my stomach. I was hungry, really hungry! He had actually wanted to reserve a table at Five and Dime but it was not available. So we ended up at em by the river! It is an outdoor cafeteria by the river (as the name goes). It was relaxing and cooling.

Instantly, i felt luxurious! :D

Poached egg with ham

The food was okay but i felt it was a little bit over priced though (GST and service charge are added to the price of the  food) . But the good thing is.. the ambiance is definitely a place for couples who want to pamper themselves and indulge in their lovey-dovey conversations.

Even so, we left the cafeteria early as bii was hoping that we could check in early. The check in time was 2pm. However, the check-in process was taking too much time that we got our keys only at about 2.20pm. Our hotel room was located on the 24th floor. Bii had booked an executive suite which comes with

  • 3 course italian dinner at Pontini
  • a bottle of wine
  • a pair of gold class tickets at GV
  • breakfast for 2
  • access to executive lounge at 29th floor

The room was big. There was a short walkway to the living room, 2 TVs, the bedroom. Pictures will help to explain better :D

My pretty roses

No matter how much i nagged at him that i do not need roses, he still appear at my void deck with the roses on his hands. But still, i really appreciate bii! And i really love the roses.

Photo first!

There wasn't much activity in the afternoon so we decided to walk about the hotel and nearby places. There is a mini swimming pool, tennis court and gym in the 5 star hotel. Besides that, we have access to the executive lounge at 29th floor.

Enjoying my coffee

After the mini tea-break, we walked about the hotel

Quiet place

At 6.30pm, he booked a table at Portini. Fine Dining.

See how neatly the utensils were placed.
My fine dining impression:

  1. Expensive
  2. Eat gracefully
  3. Talk softly
  4. Dress-up
  5. Small potions that cannot fill your stomach ( We had already thought of going McDonald after dinner)
For that three course meal, we had appetizer, main course and desserts.

And our meal came:

Looks nice?

But when u look from afar

Oh my god! Can you just imagine the potion?!

Main Course

But when you look afar

Oh My God?! Can this fill my stomach?!

Dessert was in the normal size *Phew*

Bye Pontini!

The dinner was almost $190 for that potion. *Gulp*

Oh yea, that is fine dining.
