Happy Birthday Xiong! You are 26 this year. Passing 25 means you are approaching 30 soon. Well, I hate to say his age now as I am the same age as him (means I'm approaching 30 soon too).

As mentioned in my previous post, we went to Genting for a short get-away to "celebrate" his birthday. As it was his birthday month, he was entitled to 2 free nights stay in Genting Resort Hotel. He booked through his mobile and ta-da, it was successful! We booked our coaches through Transtar as they are the only travel agent company which will bring you up to Genting Resort Hotel directly. (Most of the coach buses will only bring you to Mushroom Farm before taking another shuttle bus up to Genting Resort Hotel.

Ready to set off at 6.30am

There was no jam at all and soon, we reached Yong Pin. Most of the coach buses will stop by Yong Pin for breakfast and toilet breaks. The tour guide gave us 20 minutes break before setting off to Genting. We rested throughout the journey and after 6 hours, we reached Genting Resort Hotel at approx 1.30pm. Immediately, we went to the Lobby to check-in.

We stayed the same kind of room as the previous trip.

We dropped our luggage and off we went to walk about.

The shopping mall was rather empty on the Friday afternoon. We walked about the mall aimlessly and finally, ended up in casino, exploring. While Love was queuing up at the counter to reset his pin for his card, I went to the nearby cafe to have some snacks.

The teh tarik and chee chong fan were really nice!

At 7pm, we went to the bowling alley. Love said that it is an illuminating bowling alley at night and it would be pretty cool to play under those lights.

We had 2 games, but I was totally trashed by Xiong. Let's see his score ya... ..

Do i even need to explain further?

I have to admit that he is good at it. After which, during the night, we spend our time at casino, donating money to Malaysia... ...

On day 2, we went to watch The Avengers. We bought the tickets at about 10am as we were afraid that the tickets would be sold out. But before that, we went to Starbucks at First World to have breakfast.

The tickets were really affordable. One normal ticket cost RM16 while one premium ticket cost RM21. The difference in normal ticket and premium ticket are the seats. Premium seats are blue which occupied 2 rows from the back while the the normal are red. Premium ticket entitles you to one set of free popcorn, snack and choice of your drinks.

The only way to cinema.

It was a good 2 hours of The Avengers before we head to casino for more.

Day 2 OOTD

Our trip was over in a blink of eyes. We spent our time in casino more than anything. Though we did not win , but I believe you definitely enjoyed our stay there >.<

Genting Trip in April 2015

Happy Birthday Xiong! You are 26 this year. Passing 25 means you are approaching 30 soon. Well, I hate to say his age now as I am the same a...
My Plan for Day 2 was to visit KL! It was about 1.5 hours to get from Genting Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur.

I woke up quite early, preparing to leave the hotel for KL but my love was still sleeping. He woke at about 11am.
OOTD!

Kuala Lumpur is not cold at all and that explains our outfit. I know that many of us know how to get down from Genting to KL but there are also many others who doesn't know how to. My love did some research and this was how we got down... ...

Getting from Genting to KL

From our hotel, look for sign and walk to Genting Skyway. Walk over to the counter and buy one way or return ticket. One return ticket should cost RM12.  Hop on to the cable car and and down you go... ...

It was so misty that you can't see what is infront of you.

When the wind blows, you can also feel the whole cable car shaking (Scary~~). The cable car took about 15 minutes (about 3k km) to reach the bottom hill. My experience was made worst when the cable car stopped in midair :| I had never experience such thing before (except being stuck in the lift) in my life! It was not a laughing matter when your cable car got stuck in mid air (1.740 metres! ) It stopped for 5 minutes(still hell scary to me alright?!)

While hanging in mid air, we never failed to take more selfies... ...

Trying to keep my posture

When we reached the bottom (*relieved*), we walked around to look for ticket counter to purchase bus tickets to KL.

Bus terminal

To my horror, we were told to go to level 3 to purchase ticket as the ground floor counter ticket was closed. We followed their instructions and took the lift up to level 3 again. And again, we were told that there was a massive jam at the expressway and we had to wait for 2-3 hours before the next bus arrive. I was utterly disappointed. I thought that we could have a cheaper mode of transport to Pudu Sentral but it seems all so impossible now. There were not many cabs around and all of us were trying to wait for one. We waited at the so call "taxi stand" and one finally came and we hopped on. It cost 100RM for both of us to KL. Travelling alone took us 1 hour. Taxi uncle stopped by Pavilion.

There are some shopping malls nearby.: Berjaya Times Square, Pavilion, Kota Raya, Fahrenheit 88, Lot 10 and Sungei Wang Plaza and Low Yat Plaza. One day will not be enough to shop these shopping malls.

Lot 10. One shopping mall which sell affordable branded stuffs.

Sungei Wang. One shopping mall which sells affordable trendy clothes.

Low Yat Plaza sells all the IT stuffs. The banner tells all! I bought a portable handphone charger for my brother ^^

Berjaya times Square. This shopping mall is seriously big that i hoped that i had more time to shop.

After shopping for hours, it was time to go back Genting. We walked about 20 minutes to Pudu Sentral and bought the last bus at 7.00pm.

However, when you purchased the ticket, they provide the return Genting Skyway ticket too. Perhaps you may want to buy one way ticket when you are going down from Genting to KL.

The bus terminal was at the basement. There were not a lot of passengers as all of were able to sit comfortably on the bus. Bus interior was clean and good. The driver sped all the way to the Genting Skyway Lower Station. Luckily there was no jam and we reached there in an hour.

Same thing, we took the cable car up to Genting. As it was dark, we couldn't see what was around us except the lights from the opposite cable car.

Genting from afar.

And once we reached Genting, we went back to our hotel to unload staffs before going casino.

And here are a list of shopping malls i visited in KL which are reachable by foot.

Oh yea, that was how i celebrated my birthday.

Signing off~~
I had a special birthday celebration this year; not only getting an ombre cake, i was also overseas during that weekend. My trip to Genting lasted 3 days 2 nights. Though the outdoor amusement was demolished, the indoor mini theme park is still around.

" ... we are closing Genting Outdoor Theme Park from 1st September 2013 for 3 years to make way for the world's first Twentieth Century Fox World"

In the past, i had only traveled to Genting Malaysia with my family. I was too well taken care off that i had never know how to book the hotels at Genting on my own. Initially, i tried booking from Agoda but it was impossible to as they stated that it was only available for members. Only after asking my mum, i realized that only through travel agency, we will be able to purchase the coach tickets and hotel together.

As it was weekend, our package was very expensive, costing $250++ per pax, staying in Hotel Resort (a better one compared to First world Hotel). As many of the coach buses end their destination at the Mushroom Farm, we decided to go for Transtar which is the only coach bus which alight passengers at Hotel Resort.

    Entrance of Hotel Resort

Lobby Hall

The trip to Genting was enjoyable as now video screens were installed on coach buses. The video kept me so occupied that i hardly had any winked through 7 hours straight.

We checked in at the counter once we reached the hotel.

Before entering the room, do always knock the door and say : Excuse me, i am going to occupy this room for 2 nights. It may seems that its an 'extra and unnecessary' thing to do but you never know what or who was lurking in that room :X

Mini corridor

Toilet is spacious and comfortable.

The room is comfortable to the max!! Big enough to lay your barang barang around anywhere! There is no aircon install except for a fan above you. The room is already cold without turning the fan on (you are already in the clouds!). After dumping our bags in the room, we left the hotel.

The very first thing to do is to make our casino card at their counter.  :X

Exploring Genting... ...

The outdoor theme park

Man, i was really tired.

The weather was too cold that I felt my jacket wasn't thick enough to keep me warm.

Hotel Resort and First World hotel is linked. You don't have to worry walking under the cold weather.

Walking towards First World.

The Mary Brown

The tram ride which has been around for years!

As it was a Friday, the shopping mall was quite quiet.

Settled out lunch at Hainan Kitchen. The food there was not bad (I must be really hungry!) and there were many empty seats around.

Lunch of the day

We walked around First World, looking around and trying to tap for wifi :| The bowling allay, cinema ktv are still around but we couldn't find the Indoor Archery Range. After walking around, we discovered Starbucks near the bus terminal and decided to stop by there to tap wifi :X

They wrote my name on my cup! Publicly announcing that : Hey, its mine alright!

2 Elvinas?

Starbucks allows us to tap their wifi for only 2 hours! Remember to buy their coffee and only then you are entitled to use their wifi for free (You have to request for their pin number at the counter for the login).

At night... we stayed up exploring both casinos (the one at First world and Hotel Resort). Will be blogging Day 2 up next!
