Can't seem to remember the last time i had a good sleep.  During my pregnancy, I had been waking every nights to go to the toilet. Beside my own bed, toilet was my next best friend.

And a few months had passed, Baby Rayner is going 6 months tomorrow. Looking back at my blog, i have not updated anything during my maternity leave. Everyday passed so quickly that i never keep track of anything. Baby Rayner occupies 90% of my time everyday and 10% of time dedicated to do housework. I can't seem to also remember the last time i had constructive conversations with my husband. During our free time when baby is sleeping, we hardly ever talk like we used to because it was only free time we had our own me-time. But that doesn't make me or him love each other lesser. Our once-romantic love had evolved into 'being responsible and commitment' love.

This is family. And having a family is happy and tiring.

So, I had returned to work last month and never had been even busier. And all the more busier as company is still implementing the WFM policy.

But first, Happy soon to be 6th Month to Baby Rayner.

Wonder who he takes over more

Baby Rayner is growing well. During the last jab , Doctor said that he was 7.4 kg and 66 cm. He is a 75th percentile which makes him a big baby. Doc was kind enough that he didn't use the word : Fat. Well, almost everyone who sees him says that he is chubby. Those are just kind words and we appreciate that.

Most of the time he is a good boy. He only fuss when he wants milk and sleep. I latches him to sleep which all the more makes me tired but i guess this is all worthwhile. I can't shy away from mom duties just because im tired right? Afterall, breastmilk is the best food for him and i hope to provide him up till 1 year old. I am halfway through breastfeeding journey and i am hanging on. I heard from many moms that they missed latching their babies because they do not latch anymore when they are older. To be honest, my breastfeeding journey is not easy and there are many times i wanted to give up. Having a supportive hubby and environment really help to spur you on the tough journey. I do agree that breastfeeding is a lonely journey, but with the right encouragement, i made it though for the first few months. I am also glad that i have a baby who knows how to suck.

Tummy time

Baby Rayner is learning to flip but with countable successful attempts. He like to have fun and will laugh at silly mimics. His laughter is so innocent and infectious. Mum and dad just smile because you do. During the past months, i have been re-packing his clothes again and again, putting away those small ones and washing up the bigger sizes. He is no longer an infant and it makes me miss those days. Now i understand why everyone say : wah so fast!

To everyone's eye, it is an overnight thing but to parents like us, it is the days and nights which we went through, the hard times when baby refuses to sleep or drink, the days when we had to bath him and re-bath him because he pee in the bath tub, the clothes we have to wash almost daily to ensure he has fresh clothes etc. But it was all fun.

Happy birthay to papa.

We celebrated my hubby birthday at Mariott South Bridge in April. Hope my hubby did enjoy himself. It was a 3 days 2 night to wind down from our busy life.

Last month love booked a staycation st MBS on my birthday. I was feeling so excited since it been a while had staycation for my birthday.

We had a great time though i had to make him sleep at night.

He loves it when dad carries him like this. He is one such lovable boy. He seems easy going enough and does not afraid so strangers (so far). He loves to explore and always looking for daddy to have fun.

Now as a mum, my perspective of what a family needs is stability. I love my hubby and son to the core. Nothing beats the comfort a home even if you have a bad day. And i hope Baby Rayner will grow up in a happy, warmth and safe environment. Mum and dad will always be there for you.

And to my hubby who (maybe doesn't) read my blog. Thanks for the nice stayca. It costs a bomb but even so, after so many years, you still continue to splurge on me. Love you since Day 1 and more. You have been a great dad since Baby born

I know baby will be as mischievous as you in the future

Alright,signing off here

Coming to 5th Month

Can't seem to remember the last time i had a good sleep.  During my pregnancy, I had been waking every nights to go to the toilet. Besi...
Another week gone by and I am entering week 38 now. This morning went to the Gynac and Dr Adrian said baby is estimated to weigh 2.8kg to 3kg. He also mentions that I need to take note of baby kicks everyday, make sure he kicks 10 times a day. Baby has been doing good as he has been kicking since morning till night.

Please continue to do so baby ❤️

My leg and hand has been swollen since 2-3 weeks ago and it just gets worst. I guess there is no medicine for this until I give birth to Baby Rayner.

This morning Dr Adrian shows his big tummy and head. Everything is looking good and he told us to go back next Saturday.

I am starting my HL next week and I know I should get proper rest before I give birth. But I guess my phone will not stop ringing and I would not be totally void of my job.  Company is just too lean and I am so sure that I will be needed in one of those days next week.

I am starting to feel anxious about baby's arrival as we are beginning another stage of life together. I have so many questions in mind: Will baby be easily cranky or difficult to handle? Am I going to be a good mum? Will I continue to show patience to my little one? Will my husband take a role in parenting too and share the burden with me?, etc etc.  As much as there are many doubts, I still couldn't wait to meet him. Overall, its been a happy 9 months since I begin my pregnancy.

Alright, I shld be resting soon as it is past midnight. Nights everyone!

Into Week 38 of my. pregnancy

Year 2020 is indeed very different from other Years. Since March, I have been working from home till now and I am pregnant! Love was away from me for one of the month this year which has never happened before. During his absence,  i took the opportunity to keep fit since we are in a lockdown situation.

We didn't visit many places due to COVID as the number of cases in Singapore is still unstable.

An impromptu date to Jewel for Burger and Lobster.

To have a happy pregnancy is important. Hope Baby will be as happy as i am when im carrying him in my tummy. Sometimes i can't have everything goes my way but there is nothing much I should be complaining about. I have a supportive hubby, healthy baby, caring cousins, great friends to hang out with and a team of understanding colleagues.

And we will name our Baby Rayner. Hope Baby Rayner will be born to be decisive, wise warrior. Love and I feel that as a boy he should be strong and hope he will grow up to be one. Mum and Dad will be rooting for you.

High Tea at The lobby Lounge with Dad and Sis

December was nice. I was clearing my leave and I booked a place at Shangri-Ri La on one of the Friday to meet my dad and sis for Afternoon Tea. It was a nice place and good time for me to wind down. I am getting heavier and moving around became more like a chore than a normal activity. Therefore, I better do what i want to do before i can't haha.

Into Week 34 pregnancy, Baby weighs around 2 kg and i had gained like about 13 kg so far. I have 44  more days to go before Baby's arrival. We are about done with his stuff and ready to welcome him home. Building a family on our own is a completely a different feeling. It's like amazing how 2 completely different strangers who was never part of you before became one of the most important person in your remaining life and then creating a new life together with him/her. Sometimes life is just full of surprises that we can never foresee.

1st photo of Year2021 with Baby Rayner in my tummy haha.

This is one of the year with not many photos taken but most importantly, stay safe and happy everyone!

Last of Year 2020

Today marks the end of week 23 in my pregnancy. I have lost track of my time whether I'm in 5th month or 6th month, not sure how these people calculate the number of months, but anyway, counting by weeks is the most accurate.

We went for our week 20 scan last month. And the results... Baby is fine!! I'm feeling so happy that Baby Lim is doing good in my tummy! Daddy Lim is also happy, though he is not the sort to express outwardly. Baby Lim has been active kicking and doing somersault in my belly and sometimes Daddy Lim can feel his movements. I told Daddy lim that we need to prep his room starting end of next month, otherwise I would not be able to do anything by then as baby grows bigger.

I guess we had also decided a Christian name for Baby Lim. We shall not reveal until later.

I am feeling happy for the past few weeks. I guess its really important to stay happy for Baby Lim. Honestly, I'm feeling excited to meet him. I think Daddy Lim is feeling the same too ❤️

Baby Lim looks like a little 娃娃,so cute.

And about mummy, my tummy has been growing and I have already outgrown my clothes, I have to wear maternity clothes now. I have also upgraded my panty to L and from L to maternity L size. Luckily, my sis and cousin has clothes to spare me so that I need not buy so many.

My leg cramps is starting and my backache is still happening as usual. I have gain 8kg so far but I guess this very normal. I am happy as Ah Bii has been supportive of me so far, he brings me to eat whatever I want.

I looked so bloated haha but for once I'm still happy haha. And yesterday we had Beauty in the Pot. Daddy Lim is getting fat with me but he is happy too.

For now, we will enjoy the life of 二人世界until baby's arrival.

And this was me the month before I get preggy... I wonder I can go back to my size annot

21 June 2020

Half a year has passed. There has been many events in life go unplanned.
Last year love and I went to Europe for our honeymoon trip. We went places like Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, Bath, London, Oxford. It was October (Cold~~) and we really enjoyed our trip. We returned Singapore on 4th Nov. The virus broke out in late Nov/ December. We are glad that we returned home safely before the broke out of COVID-19 went berserk. (We were lucky too)

It was a 2 weeks of fairy tale... and the facing harsh reality when we returned. Beside feeling broke, we have to deal with many emails which are waiting for us to clear. My colleagues were hoping for my return soon as they are struggling with lots of workload. But i do appreciate that none of them contact me when i was holidaying.

On the day when we reached Airport, Love's luggage handle suddenly broke off when we alighted the taxi at Changi. It was like 10 pm at night and shops are closing. We were flustered because the luggage and heavy and it would be difficult to tow / carry if we reached Paris. Immediately, we saw an atrium sales selling luggage was almost closing, we talked to the staff for help and we managed to get 1 luggage. After we purchased the luggage, we went to a corner and Love started unpacking and packing his stuff into the new luggage. It was a funny moment for both of us. We had a good laugh and went onboard.

After excruciating 13 hrs of flight, we finally reach Paris. SQ flight is good, just that i couldn't sleep on flight. I stayed mostly awake *sad*

Paris was raining when we landed

The neon bright colors of blue red and white made us excited- Charles de Gaulle Airport. It was early morning and Paris is raining.

Looking tired

We took several elevators to reach immigration and custom. It took a while to clear as there are many people landed from other parts of the world. We went over to collect our luggage after that.  The staff does not really speak good english so it took us a while to navigate the place. It took another turn when we heard that the train drivers are having a strike and there were either limited rides or long waiting time to get to Paris.

Oh no

People were rushing here and there, hopping trains to train. None of the people actually make noises or complaining. It seems like a normal routine in Paris. This will never happen in Singapore as Asian loves to complain.
We just board one of the train.

We found a place to sit and wait. And wait. AND WAIT. After 30min-1hr, the train was full and it finally moved, taking us to the destination. We decided that we shall just wait like the other passengers patiently, anyway, we are here for our honeymoon, we are not rushing for time or whatsoever. Love is trying to catch pokemon and his Mr. Mime.

Streets were empty, graffiti and not perfectly clean. I began to appreciate how lucky we were as Singaporeans.

Since train masters were on strike, there were definitely less trains and we are thinking hard to get to our hotel. Love is smart and im glad he is my travelling partner. Thanks to him we got on the correct train to our hotel.
The complicated train interchange

Finally reaching our station.

There are steps everywhere, just like Korea, you have to walk a lot. Luckily, i bought a pair of sport shoes just for the honeymoon. It was a good decision.  It was almost 1pm since we settled our check-in and having lunch nearby .

Food is good

We explored Paris on foot after lunch. People tend to portray Paris to be a very romantic, couple-ly feel, holding hands and running/ kissing under the rain, smiling and laughing with your partner, but in-fact, here is what happen

Im holding umbrella walking infront while love is wearing his hoodie jacket.

Walking in the rain? Mama told me i would get sick if i do that. Kissing on streets? You would probably taste the rain after your open your mouth. Holding hands? The pavement is narrow and it serves 2 ways traffic. Just walk in a line behind is better. Anyway, we were holding our phone catching pokemon.

I do have to say Paris is very scenic.

Hello  Eiffel tower !

We didn't explore too far since we were feeling tired. Night came early since its winter time and shops close like 6 pm? We returned our hotel and had a good rest.

Honeymoon Day 1 in Paris 2019

by on 12:43 PM
21 June 2020 Half a year has passed. There has been many events in life go unplanned. Last year love and I went to Europe for our honey...
This year is the Year when both me and Xiong became 30. Thinking about it, here's what I have achieved by age 30.

I am

  1. Happily married
  2. Have a house i call my own
  3. Driving License
  4. Has a job  (Right now)
  5. Have my own insurance
  6. Sharing a car loan with my hubby
  7. Going to my honeymoon trip with hubby
What i plan to have:
  1. A baby by end of next year.
I feel that having kids is the best thing for a family as Xiong and I grew up in a family with siblings. I'm not sure if i will be able to manage kids but i believe all families go through the same hardship when kids are added to family. There will definitely have lots of sacrifice, a lot of financial planning and patience. I have doubts too if i can be a good parent to my child but I believe Xiong will be a good father. He seems like he already had plans for his kid if he/she is to come to this world. He told me: Next time our child must learn piano , because i last time no chance learn. When i asked him, how far do you want your child to learn. He said: Grade 10. Is there a grade 10 in the first place? I told him learning piano is very expensive and he said: Never mind, i will pay.

Alright. We shall see.

Talking about it, i should also mention how we celebrate our birthdays. There isn't anymore outdoor activities in the past where we go cafe hopping, see gold class, chalets etc. I think our energy level are not there anymore. Now, we appreciate staying home and see korean dramas( I invested well in Netflix)/ Never a day i thought that i will pay for such subscription.

Celebrating our 1st Valentine day at Monti

Monti at Fullerton Pavilion

I booked a nice place near opposite MBS to celebrate our 1st Valentines' day as husband and wife. The food was alright but i could say that this place is really romantic for couples who wants to have a good view of MBS. As it was CNY, we somehow able to catch fireworks at Marina Bay Floating Platform which is just opposite of us.

It was a simple dinner and we made our way back after that.

How simple is that?

Love is when we visit new restaurant together, eat together and get fat together. I think we continue our Netflix drama when we got home that night :X

Xiong's 30th Birthday

I bought a birthday cake for him and bring back to MIL place to celebrate

Take "Ang Bao" money from Mum while cutting cake at the same time.

Xiong didn't have much preference where/what he wanted for his birthday. So on that day, we did the usual, catch a movie at Nex in the morning before going to massage at Afond Spa. The last time we went there was many years back when and we love the massage and spa. They are one of the place which offer couple spa at good affordable rates. It is at Chinatown.

After the massage is done , we walked over to Soho 51 at Telok Ayer. It was 5 minutes walking distance and we reached there pretty fast. Based on the reviews, they are popular in skewers and we ordered a few to try. I must say that there are good and i would  want to go back for more.

Smiling at food

They taste great really!

A photo together!

We ended the day like that and went home after that.

Here is a photo of Xiong from 2011-2018.
Is he even growing?
Few weeks before, i received our wedding photos. There are like total around 1k + photos and inclusive of the whole day videography. Though it has been 4 months since we married, we indeed really enjoyed ourselves on our wedding. It was hard to forget such a memorable day..

After the morning session ended, we rushed down to RWS and contacted Dennis, our wedding bulter. He was a very nice guy and helped us to oversee many things. When we arrived at the lobby, he was already there, waiting for us to help us carry the barang barang. Next, he helped us to checked in so that we could save sometime to rest for a bit. My sister was there to make up already and Sammi took half an hour to do her make up.After she was done with my sis, it was my mother-in-law's turn. She only started my makeup after both of them were done.

The banquet

As for me,i was the last one to do my make up. I was very nervous and excited  :\  Love was very busy as he needs to go through the flow of the our Wedding dinner. He wasn't at the reception most of the time

Simple decor for the photo viewing table

I was standing there alone, feeling awkward and maintaining my smiles. My mouth was feeling tired from the smile in the morning but it was my big day! Deep in my heart i am really happy.

Ah Sen took a nice photo of our pops.

MC of the day, My younger brother and my cousin! Thank to them , Xiong and I had one thing less to think about who to control the crowd.

My Da Sao and In-law

My cousin and her boyfriend. When is it going to be your turn?

Photo with my husband family and relatives

There are many more photos but i uploaded some of them only. You can view on my facebook if you were my friend >.< When all guests had settled for the dinner, love and i were preparing for our first march in. We were wondering what if we missed a step, what if i fell, what if we walked too fast etc etc..

Thanks for the nice photo !

Preparing for our first March in

Walking towards the stage. Now i know how it feels to have everyone looking at you walking on the red carpet. Kinda like a superstar!

Alright, for this,  i have to announce that i have nothing to do with it. Love was kena sabor by his friends. I feel sad for you Bii. But my colleagues still remembered you singing that song on stage. You sang well !!

Cake cutting Ceremony

Thanks for entertaining the crowd with your singing!

 You finally get seated haha!

Our wedding over-run for almost an hour. It was not long after we had to get up and get changed for our 2nd March in. Jas helped me with my hair accessories and help me get changed.

Peeping through the small opening to see the morning express

 Finally come in liao

Champagne popping

  And the Yun Seng follows...

Little boy is scared because its too loud.

After the Yum Seng, love and i said our thank you speech to our family and relatives. It was not that sort of touching speech and i didn't want anyone to cry. We wanted to end the wedding on a happy note. After the table photo taking session, Xiong was greeted by lots of Beer at the last table. Thankfully , his brothers help him to drink and he only drank a glass and a half?

At the last dish, our parents and us stand at the door, to thanks each and every guest who attended our wedding. And finally, the day ended.. With the help of our friends, we managed topackd up the place and went back to the helper's room. Dennis help to bring the dinner in as we didn't get to eat earlier on. Our friends were looking really tired from a day's work and so was dear. Not long after all of the m left as our wedding finished at 11.00pm ++. Till then the cab home was pretty expensive and they had to leave.

Love was knocked out on bed with in his suits and pants. I was lucky that he didn't throw up or otherwise i have cleaning to do. I helped him changed into his sleeping clothes and even removed his make up. After helping him, i changed out and bathed before i slept. It was almost 3am when i finished.

The next morning we woke up early as there are some admin stuffs to do before changing to the Ocean Suite.

Shall share more on my next post!

And here,i would like to thank Pierre Ooi Photography for all the awesome photos i've uploaded in this post.
