Been away from blogging for a while since I changed my job. Work have been busy like mad but everyone seems to end work happily. Customers are demanding as usual but i guess its the same everywhere. I am surprised if i am not complained by any customer. I told myself that I ought to work, no matter how i feel the job is. I believe in a perfect job but it comes only after I had explored enough. Right now, I shall stick on for a good 2 years before i run again.

Last 2 weeks, we had our family gathering at Sentosa. It was supposed to be a nice gathering but the wet weather dampened our moods.

Baby is taking a view out of the resort.

We stayed at Siloso Beach Resort at Beach Station. Comparing the prices among all hotels in Sentosa, Siloso Beach Resort offers a more economical prices as compare to the other luxury hotels. If you are looking for an even more cheaper alternative, just book a chalet at Coasta Sands Resort next to Siloso Beach, their accommodation costs $99 for a night. But do note that you will have to pay for at least 2 nights.

I booked 1 Family Room + 1 Deluxe room. The cost of 1 family room for a night is about $600++ while the deluxe room cost about $350++.

The deluxe room is decent. There is a queen size bed and i requested 1 baby cot for Baby Eng.

Deluxe Room

The way to the door.

They have seating near the window.

After putting our things in the room, we left to go to the event at Siloso Beach. They were having Sands of Time exhibition.

There were some SG50 sand sculptures.

Some photos of the sculptures.

After the beach walk, we went to RWS for a walk.

They bring over the Coconut style from Bangkok!!

Soon, it was evening. To aviod getting wet under the weather, we decided to go to RWS, Resort World Sentosa. It wasn't difficult getting around Sentosa. Towards near Rasa Resort, there is a bus stop where buses run internally in Sentosa only. We took Bus 1 to get to Resort World.

There were lots of seats as most of the passenger alighted the same stop we were boarding.

These buses are free ride. Please do not go to the bus driver to ask him how much to go to RWS, guess he will piss off with you (there might have been too many people asking him this question).

A photo of mum and dad.

Though I was our first time having our family gathering in Sentosa, but it wasn't the first time that we are there. Dad doesn't smile in photo but when he does, it would be a genuine smile. Mum loves taking photo but like all ladies do, they love to look pretty in photo.

Baby was trying to look at the camera.

Took a photo at BreadTalk entrance. Not a fan of it but we just took a photo of it haha.

At night, we had a simple dinner at Toast box. There are lots of people partying there and they can party till midnight 3am. Mum did not sleep well because the resort was just next to the party scene.

If you love party, perhaps you an try to stay in Siloso Beach Resort ^^. Can just walk over when you are tired haha.

We checked in to Family room after a stroll at RWS and it was about 5.30pm.

Welcome to the family room

See how spacious the room is

I requested a queen size bed and a twin size bed. An extra bed per night will cost you $80 but if you are able to join the twin beds together, you are able to squeeze 3 people on the bed. Just like all all hotels do, they provide refillable tea and coffee, 4 bottles of water daily and a kettle to use.  The toilet bowl and shower are separated. There was no lock so anyone can access to the toilets while you are bathing or pooing :X

Alright, I shall end this post with this photo:

Happy Birthday Xiong! You are 26 this year. Passing 25 means you are approaching 30 soon. Well, I hate to say his age now as I am the same age as him (means I'm approaching 30 soon too).

As mentioned in my previous post, we went to Genting for a short get-away to "celebrate" his birthday. As it was his birthday month, he was entitled to 2 free nights stay in Genting Resort Hotel. He booked through his mobile and ta-da, it was successful! We booked our coaches through Transtar as they are the only travel agent company which will bring you up to Genting Resort Hotel directly. (Most of the coach buses will only bring you to Mushroom Farm before taking another shuttle bus up to Genting Resort Hotel.

Ready to set off at 6.30am

There was no jam at all and soon, we reached Yong Pin. Most of the coach buses will stop by Yong Pin for breakfast and toilet breaks. The tour guide gave us 20 minutes break before setting off to Genting. We rested throughout the journey and after 6 hours, we reached Genting Resort Hotel at approx 1.30pm. Immediately, we went to the Lobby to check-in.

We stayed the same kind of room as the previous trip.

We dropped our luggage and off we went to walk about.

The shopping mall was rather empty on the Friday afternoon. We walked about the mall aimlessly and finally, ended up in casino, exploring. While Love was queuing up at the counter to reset his pin for his card, I went to the nearby cafe to have some snacks.

The teh tarik and chee chong fan were really nice!

At 7pm, we went to the bowling alley. Love said that it is an illuminating bowling alley at night and it would be pretty cool to play under those lights.

We had 2 games, but I was totally trashed by Xiong. Let's see his score ya... ..

Do i even need to explain further?

I have to admit that he is good at it. After which, during the night, we spend our time at casino, donating money to Malaysia... ...

On day 2, we went to watch The Avengers. We bought the tickets at about 10am as we were afraid that the tickets would be sold out. But before that, we went to Starbucks at First World to have breakfast.

The tickets were really affordable. One normal ticket cost RM16 while one premium ticket cost RM21. The difference in normal ticket and premium ticket are the seats. Premium seats are blue which occupied 2 rows from the back while the the normal are red. Premium ticket entitles you to one set of free popcorn, snack and choice of your drinks.

The only way to cinema.

It was a good 2 hours of The Avengers before we head to casino for more.

Day 2 OOTD

Our trip was over in a blink of eyes. We spent our time in casino more than anything. Though we did not win , but I believe you definitely enjoyed our stay there >.<

Been to a few cafes these days but I have yet to share any of them yet.

Recently, i met up with my babes for a long good chat. After we met up, we realised that all of us were looking for a change in career after a few years in our current company, pursuing what we want.

We went to Supply and Demand as recommended by one of them and began our chats the moment we sat down.

Supply and Demand

A cosy corner at Orchard Gateway (connected to Somerset 313), we went there at about 12pm with no reservation. We were one of the few early customers who went there after 30 minutes of their opening time.

They have wooden furniture everywhere.

In Supply and Demand, they serve Italian cuisine like pizzas and spaghetti.

Took a page of Cichetti , which means snack or side food in Venetian language. The only page i took -.-

As the waitress mentioned that the potion would be big, we ordered one side, 1 pizza and 1 spaghetti.

The calamari is thin and crispy.  A great appetizer *Thumbs UP*

Pizza base is thin and crispy too! We ordered something with four cheese. It is pretty good too!

Aglio Olio is tasty but a little bit spicy. If you can take on a little spicy, aglio olio will be a good choice. If i were to go back, i will order this again!

The 3 of us managed to finished all the 3 dishes without wasting any of it. It filled up our stomach so perfectly that we were able end our meal with a Tiramisu.

The 3 of us shared the Tiramisu too! Well, girls love to share don't they?

Tiramisu was well done but the coca powder was a bit too thick that it chocked me a little. This happens whenever I had Tiramisu haha.

The food is good but I felt that it is more on the pricey side. However, apart from the food, they have good environment for small gatherings, which might explain the price. If you want a place for a chit-chat session, you can consider Supply and Demand.

Last but not least, posting a photo of my friends who shared the foods with me.

I was slightly more busy these days which might have explained my low blogging frequency.
Let me recap my last weekend!

Wednesday

It was mid week and I had the sudden urge to do my nails. I have not been doing my nails since July and they were not well kept. Three of my nails were broken due to work and i was really sad about it. Joycelynn (my manicurist ) put me on waiting list as her slots were full till end of December. Luckily, one of her customers couldn't make it on Wed night and i was able to take her slot! Happily, i ended work at 6pm and rush to Tampines. Due to bad traffic, i was late for 10 minutes!!

And immediately, she started the manicure session.

Can you idenify the three fake nails?

After 1.5 hours, my nails were nicely decorated and tada!!

Nice right!!

By the time my nails were done, It was reaching 8.30pm. I reached home at about 9.30pm and had my dinner.

Saturday

Love and I were chilling our Saturday at Shuffle Bistro as we love bars with live band drumming mandarin songs. We were checking out several bistro and there was another one call "Switch'. As Switch live band only begin at 9.30pm, we decided to go back Shuffle again.

Thanks love for the lovely photo.

We ordered Churros (Not bad ) and Hawaiian Pizza.

The Churros was good actually !

During that night, there was a special guest from Superstar. He is.... Aedan Kang 江韩文. I was really happy and shocked (I support him more than the Alfred Sim). He sang 2 songs that night. I have to say that he can really sing!

While listening to the live band, i was indulging in my Somersby Apple Cidar.

One is not enough, i had another round of Moscato after wards.

My happy love

Sunday

On Sunday, Linda and i were packing clothes for the flea market this Sunday. We had collected 100 over clothes in total, excluding some from our relatives. After packing some clothes, we followed Linda and Xiong's Bro to Shangri-La hotel to view their ballroom.

Here are some photos
Xiong and I tagged along !!

They kinda like had a blue theme on that day but overall the ballroom looked really grand. It could easily host up to more than 50 tables. But the price of each table was expensive. Unless you can afford more than $2k per table, you can consider this hotel

The lady was nice enough to show us the solemnization place too.

The place for solemnization is at Pavilion. According to the wedding coordinator, she mentioned that this place was renovated. The lightnings and decorations were value added and overall they add elegance and luxury to the room.

Can you imagine how beautiful it is?

The outdoor allows the solemnisation and BBQ. If it rains, the whole event could be moved indoor.

The lobby area

Pretty isn't it?!

Work harder so that you can afford to hold your solemnization in this place :X
