It's 1 year. Finally I can remove my P-plate.This plate was passed down from my husband, then to his younger brother, and finally to me. Perhaps next can pass down to Linda? Hope she will get her license soon!

Workload is getting more and more as we are taking on new stuffs. Job is repetitive but i guess all jobs are the same. Our company has released bonus for this year and all seems good, as I felt that handwork does pay off. However, all my bonus will end up in in my house renovation and furniture.

I am looking forward to our new house and how it would end up to be. Doors were up and the latest update was that toilet glass door was up too. Contractor will be coming this Thursday to do carpentry work.

Last weekend, love and I went to have a short getaway at Hotel Jen Tanglin. They are currently having a weekend promotion for Recharge and Refuel and the price was attractive. Breakfast is add on service and it totaled up to $300. It was about 15 mins walk to Orchard and 7min to Hardrock Cafe.

Over the other weekends, Love and I will hop places and places to hunt for furniture and household accessories. I remembered the times we used to hop cafes to cafes during weekend but the hype seems to be over.

While moving on our life together as a couple, there are many things we must accept and love for who we are. It's not like child play that we can just break up if things doesn't work out. There are many things which  I learnt from my mum and dad throughout their wedding life. My love is an emo one and he is just an odd one sometimes. But I just love him, that's just him afterall. But whatever it is, the feeling that there's someone who will always be for you, feels like home...

Ya, that's him!

Happy New Year everyone.

2016 has come to an end and its time to embrace a brand new year and life. 2016 was not an easy year for us.  Mum has passed away since 6 months ago and I am now engaged. We've been through so much together as a family and never had once we forgot our mum. We missed her cooking so much that we tried to gather our thoughts of what she had cooked for us before. Dad missed her Bee Hoon and I can seriously say that no where or anyone will be able to cook near her standard.

Sis will come back almost every weekend without fail and that's where the kids bring joy to dad. The little one is beginning to crawl and soon, he will learn to run. The elder one has just started her nursery and she is in her 2nd day of school today.

For the past 6 months, I've learnt to stock up groceries, visiting supermarket and wet markets whenever I'm free. I have to buy foods for prayer and breakfast too. If my sis or brother needs me, I will try to be there. Xiong has also been very patience with us, driving us up and down, to and fro many places,  for dinner, to go grocer shopping etc. I am grateful that he is such a reliable man I could lean on.

Christmas was the time where we met up people of our lives. As we grow older, our social life shrink to just a few of us. These are my friends whom i believe will be friends for life. We grew up together, watched each other being single to married, hopping places from restaurants to dining at their homes and so much more.

There are so many more things to explore in life and never should we stop connecting with people we love. Time is precious and it would be regrettable if it if not utilized rightfully.

Hope all of you have a great 2017!

Ha yes, been quite quiet for a while since I hop job. My new job is okay, its stable with many things to do. Right now, i am still learning and absorbing as much as i can. All of my colleagues are married with kids while im the only single lady. They are all nice people but it is definitely too early to say if there is any office politics. But as of now, all of them are very nice people. Hope in months to come, I can know them better.

I've been also brought down by family issues. Not only taking care of my family, I am also taking care of family chores as much as i can, buying foods back for my family and anything which i feel is nice and appetizing. At times, I have to go out to buy foods for prayers, run errands for family issue and other miscellaneous stuffs, at the expense of my love. And i really appreciate that he will always be there for me. I no longer could sleep till late during weekends. Blame on my body clock partially too as i am also used to waking up early. By waking up in early morning, I could take a few hours to wash my family clothes and hung them dry till afternoon. As much as i want to go shopping for a whole day during weekend, I was not able to really do it anymore. Having personal time had became some sort of luxury for me as I dedicated most of my time to my family.

Love is very understanding and he accompanied me almost all of his time being with me and family. I felt i had deprived him of something which is close to his heart: His family. Though his family is no where similar to other families, i can't deny that he has a family too. Apart from being with my family, i would also love to meet up his family often for a gathering. No else where feels like home unless your family is with you. Its such a comfort zone where we share every little things about our recent happenings, be it good or bad. Only they can understand.

I was getting a little tired these days but I tell myself, come what may, I will be fighting always. I am lucky that I have my love to depend on, his family to share and talk about life and my family to be here when i have a bad day.

  We had army stew yesterday!

Iphone 6 is really good. Spot us in the background

Family will always be family.

Weekday could be fun too!

It was really one of the few days which i took leave to go out with my love. Sometimes he had his days off during the weekend but it wasn't enough. During weekend we had to squeeze with the crowd practically everywhere: train, restaurant, movies , shopping malls etc which i really dislike.

Last Tuesday,  I met Xiong at Suntec, hoping to redeem a pair of free movie tickets. I was really early  but Xiong was late.. But never mind, we managed to get the tickets with good seats. We chose to watch 'The Angriest Man in Brooklyn' as i love watching Robin Williams' film. His 'Jumanji' left a deep impression in me during my younger days. There were lots of "What the hell?!", "What the f*ck?!", "F*ck off" phrases in the movie and not one which was kid-friendly. But overall it was a good movie which i felt close to my heart as they emphasize a lot on family matters. It was really touching that i almost cried!!

After the redemption of the tickets, we went to Symmetry at Jalan Kubor to have our brunch. I was expecting to have some breakfast brunch but they do not have any on a rainy Tuesday. The cafe was located just at a corner of Jalan Kubor.

The cafe was dimly lit but it was still visible. The cafe was kinda like decorated in the 80s' style. You can spot some vintage posters around. I shall blog Symmetry Cafe in another post later.

After we had filled our stomachs, we wanted to have some desserts at Cake Love. If you had knew about the Cafe Fest Saga, you must be familiar that most patrons who were not satisfied with the management had somehow received compensation from them. I was one of those who made the complain. Though I wasn't satisfied with them (till now due to other issues) but at least there were some form of compensations. It was still bearable.

But before we head over to Cake Love, we were taking some photos at the back alley.

Can you just imagine how dark the weather was? It was about to rain anytime!

Yet we were still fooling around... ...

No idea why that i wasn't standing straight in this photo

Luckily, the rain came before we got real wet! We were looking for Cake Love high and low until Xiong told me that it was just behind us... ...

Their signboard was really cute!

Cake Love was founded in 2009 which specialize in customizing cakes, macarons, cupcakes and many other sweets treats ! I shall blog a bit more on my next post too! By the way, the serve Rainbow Cheesecake on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Their first cake will be out at 12pm and the second cake will be out at 4pm. For cheesecake lovers, please keep a look out for their Rainbow cakes!

And non-stop photos while waiting for the rain to subside... ...

After which we had a short shopping spree at Suntec before we went KTV at Teo heng. 3 hours of KTV session was cheaper than 2 hours! Went for the 3 hours KTV instead and left 10 minutes before our movie start...

And our day ended in a wink of eye... ...

My Life has recently has been dedicated to more of a food and beauty blog but i would still pen my thoughts here. Though the frequency of writing my diary is not as often as i wrote them in the past, at times, i do feel that one shouldn't neglect our thoughts or brush them off like 'they are not a big deal'.

Really, coming to a stage where i am 25 this year, life is more than what our daily routine encompasses. I have been promoted to an Aunt to a little cute princess, looking forward to my mum's fine culinary skills after a day at work (which i never appreciate them when i was much younger), chatting with my brother over his "O" Level woes, hearing to my dad's story of heated exchange in his office, enjoying weekend brunch and dinner with my loved ones. It could not be more fulfilling without your loved ones at your side.

And i grow, they grow too; which explicitly means that the time together is getting shorter. Sometimes i could not but just wonder how much time do we have left for each other? My mum and dad are reaching the age of retirement and I was only 23 when i felt i could give them a slightly better life. There is so much more i hope i could do for them. P

Perhaps many things are pre-destined that i shouldn't be thinking too much right now.
